Sammy’s Weekend Volleyball

. . . . . For all things comes an End, Yet at the same time, a New Beginning . . . . . .

   This weekend will be the FINAL official weekend that I’ll be running things for the 2017 season.

As of writing this for the future outlook of the next upcoming weekend;

   Unless the weather throws a curve ball at us, you won’t get another email from me, so let’s hope

that the clear weather stays with us, although it might be a bit chilly out there, it looks like we

should be in for a good weekend coming up!

   Please note that to ensure we get the courts, BE THERE when stuff is to start.  That’ll ensure

good team groups, and that “we” will get the courts we want.  Also note an earlier start and stop

time for the Sunday games, as daylight goes away a lot quicker now that we’re at the end.

   I can not thank all the special folks out there enough for all the help, commitment, and dedication

in helping me run things as smoothly as we could do so this season.  It’s been great overall, and

we really have gotten things running well.  We also learned a few things this year, and will be adding notes, rules, and some stuff for next year to make it even better.

   I also want to thank all that have given to the cause, both SWV and for Saint Jude’s Children’s

Hospital Charity organization.  I’ll be bringing down the jug one last time for this weekend if there’s

anyone else that can throw a few shekles into the pot. 🙂  I look forward to the last count at the end

of this month, and to summarize our total take for the 2017 season.  I believe that we hit our mark,

and then some.  Again, it’s much appreciated and I thank all that helped out.

   One last note is that THIS SATURDAY, October 21st, is our End of Year Bash.  So, if you have

$40.00, and are over 21 years old, come on by.

   Hopefully we’ll get even more than we have already that said would be in and are coming down.  Those that are “late comers”, when you arrive that evening, just see ME or our lovely Director of Entertainment for our league, Kate Chapman, to pay up and begin enjoying the evening with the rest of us. 🙂  .

   We might throw a few other VBaller hangouts together before the end of the year, maybe a trip to Oceanside for the Indoor Sand Courts?   Also note, that our January 6th 2018 date for our next SWV – POLAR BALL 2 Game Day ! ! ! !, is a firm date, and I’ve already begun having the updated Logo in the works, as well as, will be taking orders SOON for the next series of the Game Day Jerseys for the event in the next month. So keep looking for future emails on things that will be coming down the line.

   Hope to see as many that can make it out this weekend for Saturday and Sunday, and to the End of Year thing we’re doing as well.  Until then, be well, do good things, and have FUN!
