Wednesday Night Team League
Team League Information
We have finalized things in regards to our league permit and costs both to the overall teams, as well as, what additional costs will affect each member. So here it goes….
A Team Fee for our Wednesday Night Team League shall be $ 360.00 per team.
EVERY league member MUST register and have a Volley America Membership. The
fee at this time is $15.00 per individual sign-up. Our league has been able to reduce
costs by linking up with Volley America, and it will be a requirement that ANY player
( full time or fill in ) MUST first have a Volley America membership number and submit their
information to the league leader ( That’s ME! ). One good thing to note is that a
Volley America membership is good for One Calendar Year, AND you only need to
sign up ONCE if you are intending to play in any related league under the Volley
America association. Please Note that Cedar Beach is no longer being run by EEVB
and therefore, not related to Volley America. 🙁 ( Sad…sad…sad… news )
Again, if a player does NOT have a Volley America Membership, and does not submit their
information to the league on the roster, they WILL NOT be allowed to play.
All Non-Town of Hempstead residents will have to pay an additional fee of $16.50, as a
requirement of the Town’s Permit requirement. Team Captains shall determine the additional
fee when they fill out the their Team Roster Form ( included to all with this email to the group ).
The Team Captain will be responsible for filling out ALL information as needed on the form, and
provide the total full fee due for their respective team back to me ASAP. The First Six Teams to
have completed all their paperwork, and get their total fee in shall get on the league roster. First
Come, First Served. Please note that ! !
Our League is hoping to run for 20 weeks, with two additional weeks for the semi and final play-off’s just like we did last week. And although we’re the “Wednesday night” league, please note that for the first three weeks we must switch the days to play as follows;
April 22, 2018 – Sunday ( Day games ) Start time to be determined.
April 29, 2018 – Sunday ( Day games ) Start time to be determined.
May 06, 2018 – Sunday ( Day games ) Start time to be determined.
May 09, 2018 – (first) Wednesday Evening – Start time at 6:15 pm
The reason for this is due to the indoor clinics run into the first week of May, as well as, the need
for daylight! These first three weeks of play must be played on Sunday, again the time to be
determined, AND as weather permits.
All this being said, I NEED the Team Captains to get on the ball, get their teams together, get their team roster information filled out in full, including the Volley America and any non-resident players info worked out, and get your full payment back to me ASAP. Again, all teams will be on a first come first serve basis.
We are planning to complete our initial submittal back to the Town of Hempstead, Dpt. of Parks THIS week, and I will have only a few weeks thereafter to submit back the full roster, and additional fee’s that will be due to them BEFORE April 18th. SO, we are asking to have EVERYTHING wrapped up by March 15th. !!!
