Note :
Some folks think I just love writing these long winded emails to people, let me tell you all that I nearly failed EVERY English class I ever had to take AND I HATE writing letters.  Believe me that time for me is somewhat short in putting together these notices, and I get them out when I can and when I think it’s the right time to do so, yet it takes a lot of effort to make things work out.  That being said, here’s the latest bit of news that I again must cover and explain to folks.                     Please read the following :
It has come to my attention of a few things going on.  Please let me try to get across to all and explain a few basics of the way things are to run.  I started SWV several years ago to have fun with friends that like playing VBall.  We are open to ALL and hope that everyone that attends will participate in the true spirit of gaming that we do and abide by the “Rules and Intent” that we use as a guide to play and which you were given and now have to read and understand and follow!!!!
All I’m going to say on this, and I hope that I will NOT have to say this again is that everyone that comes down is respectful to one another.  Games played are for self improvement, making new friends that are like-minded, networking both in VBall stuff and possibly other things, having this “thing” that I started with a handful of folks grow into a true and good LEAGUE that frankly we will all be proud to say is OURS, and to have a good time doing what we all like doing together – playing volleyball on the weekend at a park.
This League was set up to escape the problems of daily life and frankly the world which seems to be exploding ( literally ) all around us.  This League, I hope, is a place that folks can come and enjoy, try to play hard for self improvement and developing a quick ability to be thrown in with others that you don’t even know but can somehow make things work.  The starting way to do this is to follow those rules we’ve laid out to follow on how we play down at SWV.
Also you may hear while playing. some folks “JOKING” with others.  These jokes might be a bit crude, but are bottom line always in the vein of playful banter and fun, albeit some R rated adult jokes thrown around.     However, what will NOT BE TOLERATED is rudeness to one another because of bad attitudes and or an arrogant behavior which only creates animosity and problems between folks.  Should things like that occur don’t be surprised if your told to leave, as one rule that I follow is to avoid bad problems and keep things safe.
With the remaining weeks we still have to play in this season, and it has been a great one – so far the best on record for attendance and game play – I hope that ALL will abide by my simple rule of safe and fair game play.  Again, if you’re having an issue with something going on just come up to me to discuss it and we’ll change things out to make things all run better.  So let’s all take a breath, understand why we do what we do out there, be safe and have a good time doing it.  Otherwise, why bother?!?!?!
Thank you ALL for your attendance, your support, your contributions and help out there in setting up and breaking down, and for making this one of the best seasons yet.  I only hope that we continue to grow, and improve on things, to have more fun, meet knew folks, and have better and better games.  Again, this can only be done with EVERYONE pitching in.
See you Saturday morning!
